Olga Pugachevsky is a seasoned licensed psychologist and psychoanalyst in private practice in New York City. She’s been practicing for 25 years, working with a wide range of people: children to elderly, financial executives to artists and musicians. Being bilingual herself she particularly enjoys working with people from all over the world: she navigates the cultural and linguistic uniqueness of every person who crosses the threshold of her midtown office.

Before acquiring her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Duquesne University, where she was trained within the framework of existential phenomenology as well as was instructed in Lacanian psychoanalysis, she got her M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Russian University of Transport in Moscow. This hybrid mode of approach gives Dr. Pugachevsky a unique multistructural view of every clinical situation.

Dr. Pugachevsky apprenticed under Dr. Chaim Shatan who co-conceived and publicized the diagnosis of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder globally, as well as under Dr. Muriel Dimen, a trail blazer focused on culture, gender and sexuality and their manifestations in psychoanalytic practice. 

Dr. Pugachevsky is an active participant of many years in ongoing W. Bion study groups, and has published, presented and taught locally and internationally.
